Aneta Soszynska, Local Coordinator

My name is Aneta Soszynska. I was born and raised in Poland.  There, I studied Travel and Tourism and worked in the industry as a Travel Coordinator and Event Coordinator. After I immigrated to Canada 30 years ago, I completed the Travel and Tourism Diploma at St. Clair College.  I always have passion for traveling, learning about different cultures and meeting new people.

Now, I have been working as a Direct Support Professional for the last 20 years. I have coordinated and assisted people with developmental disabilities of all ages and in all stages of their lives. My goal has always been to help the people I support experience a satisfying and rich quality of life.

I have three multitalented daughters but one thing they had in common was a passion for folk dance. Their participation in our local folk dance group has given me the opportunity to explore and learn more about Windsor’s multiculturalism and share in the uniqueness of several different cultures and nationalities.

Even though we all have differences – whether it be cultural or physical - it is important to acknowledge and respect that we also have similarities that connect us all.
