Sarah Cook, Homestay CoordinatorOntario, Bluewater Region
I love my family time, travelling the globe, and learning about different cultures. I have visited 27 countries with no intention of stopping there. I enjoy snow-shoeing and cross country skiing with my family, as well as biking on the local trails. I genuinely enjoy and embrace the four seasons of this beautiful country we live in!
I work part time in Social Services and enjoy my work with MLI Homestay as a second job that allows me to fulfill the need to learn about other cultures and meet new people. I like finding families to host our international students. It's a job that has afforded me the opportunity to get to know some of the most exceptional and interesting people I've ever met. When placing a student, my first consideration is whether or not I would feel good about letting my own children stay with a family. I like the task of selecting families and respect the role I play in ensuring students’ safety and happiness as well as the joy of making the perfect match.
What I love about MLI Homestay:
I love that it enables me to be an ambassador for Canada and allows me to be a part of a person’s life-changing experience. Travel gives perspective and I love being a part of that.‹ Back
