Rebecca Ness, Local CoordinatorOntario, Collingwood
Rebecca is a mother of two who has a passion for travel, art and yoga. After University, she lived in France for a year as a "fille au pair" and then backpacked around Australia and Asia for a year. That led to teaching English in Japan in a small mountain village for 5 years and many trips within Asia. In 2000, she returned to Canada to start a family and opened a pie shop in Whistler, BC. Two years later, she sold her part of the pie shop, bought an RV, and drove across Canada back to Ontario to be near family. She lives in Collingwood and has a daughter who is 16 and a son is studying at Queen's University who visits on holidays, and continues to travel whenever possible.
What I love about MLI:
Working with MLI and being able to co-ordinate homestays for international students is a way for her to stay connected to other people who also love to travel and to help the students enjoy their experience in Canada.
