Rebecca Ness, Homestay CoordinatorOntario, Collingwood
Rebecca is a mother of two who has a passion for travel, art and yoga. After University, she lived in France for a year as a "fille au pair" and then backpacked around Australia and Asia for a year. That led to teaching English in Japan in a small mountain village for 5 years and many trips within Asia. In 2000, she returned to Canada to start a family and opened a pie shop in Whistler, BC. But the pie business was not her cup of tea so 2 years later, she sold her part of the pie shop, bought an RV, and drove across Canada back to Ontario to be near family. She now lives in Collingwood with her two children who are 11 and 14 and continues to travel whenever possible.
What I love about MLI:
Working with MLI and being able to co-ordinate homestays for international students is a way for her to stay connected to other people who also love to travel and to help the students enjoy their experience in Canada.
