Laura Maroukis, Homestay CoordinatorOntario, Windsor
I am a proud and successful entrepreneur. A mother of three wonder children, and married to a dynamic husband who has served with The Canadian Army reserves for 30 years.
I am involved with my local community and really enjoy working with many organizations. Being able to give back to my community is very fulfilling and rewarding.
With 29 years’ experience as a sales professional and 18 years as an independent sales consultant, I have developed business with local small business owners as well as large corporations that are listed as fortune 500 companies. Building and maintaining professional relationships to ensure productivity and growth.
The YMCA has been a part of my life since the young age of twelve. By the time I was 16 years old I wanted to give back to the charity and organization. As an active volunteer and fundraiser, I am also employed and responsible for the development and program planning for all evening child and youth dance classes. Supervising all sorts of sports and facilitating high quality age appropriate programs and activities to provide the opportunity for children to improve physical literacy skills.
I have hosted five students over the past decade from various countries. Three years ago I was fortunate to be introduced to MLI and hosted a Japanese student. I look forward to growing and developing a solid relationship with MLI Homestay.
My goals are to share the best that Windsor and Canada has to offer!‹ Back
